WHY WE CURATED IT:
Under-appreciated series from Tiffany & Co., clearly inspired by Daniel Roth’s double-ellipse cases which debuted shortly prior. There is unconfirmed speculation that Roth may have been involved, given their relationship in the 80s when Tiffany was the sole American retailer for Roth-era Breguet. Whatever the link, these Mark Coupes iterate on Roth cases with their own details and multi-level finishing, as well as improved fit from curved casebacks, crystals, and prominently downturned lugs. Substantial wrist presence thanks to beefy lugs and exquisite profile details that are architectural in their layering. On the wrist, feels dressy yet sporty, luxurious yet understated. This particular piece is in spectacular condition and comes with a classical small seconds subdial, original strap and buckle, and original Tiffany & Co box!
CONDITION:
9.5/10, with very few hairlines. Top surfaces of the watch head are super clean, definitely the best one we’ve seen so far. Crystal and hands are absolutely pristine. Original signed crown. Original Tiffany strap and buckle in very good used condition. Movement in excellent health and is quartz-accurate.
