WHY WE CURATED IT:
Probably my favourite vintage Rolex ever. Pretty much the same watch as the Oysterdate Precision 6694 (see our other listing in this drop) but without the date, no magnifying cyclops lens, a sleeker crystal profile and noticeably thinner overall. It doesn’t get better than this for a classic, no-nonsense, dependable, understated daily Rolex; capturing the purity of an era that forged the success of Rolex. Marketed as “34mm” (actually 35mm), traditionally considered the “men’s size” back when watches were more elegant and discreet. Absolutely exquisite on the wrist, with the versatility of that silver sunburst dial, perfect dial symmetry and dripping with understated vintage Rolex feels. Comes with box and booklet.
CONDITION:
9/10, with minimal hairlines/nicks. Sharp lines and thick lugs. Original signed crown. Dial and hands pristine with some age spots on the indices. Lume plots intact and respond correctly to UV for age. Crystal is clean. With new aftermarket strap plus an excellent used one. Two buckles, one generic and one signed Rolex but we are unsure of its authenticity. Movement excellent with near-spec power reserve, high amplitude, low beat error and accurate to ±5 secs/day averaged from 6 timegrapher positions.
