The shape of an ellipse, is one of the most balance and unique shapes of all (im not gonna go deep into the math haha). And hence that's why many brand adopted this shape, from universal geneve, to patek and omega. Extremely elegant on the wrist, yet in the same time an icon of 70s omega.
The Omega 625 watch movement was produced from 1973, acting as one of the workhorse movements from omega during that time, part of the 670 movement family, it comes with incabloc shock protection and is till this day a very reliable movement.
