WHY WE CURATED IT:
Coming from Longines’ heyday pre-1970s Quartz Revolution, the Admiral line comprised some of the most important mechanical pieces in the brand’s catalog, bridging the gap between dressier Flagships and sportier Conquests. As such, these were the most versatile Longines of the era for gentleman seeking that one watch for business, casual, leisure as well as formal occasions. With an ultra-versatile slate/blue sunburst dial, stick markers and hands for a very timeless aesthetic. The 5 stars on the dial was a matter of Longines pride, indicating the use of high-end in-house mechanical movements, the 28,800 vph automatic Cal. 6651 in this case. A handsome piece of 1960s history. Serviced and warrantied.

CONDITION:
9/10, with some hairlines but otherwise very sharp and possibly unpolished. Only flaw of note is a caseback with some tool marks from some time in its history. Crystal and dial have some tiny age spots but the hands and indices are clean. Overall remarkably well preserved for a watch over half a century old. Original signed crown. New aftermarket strap and buckle. Movement serviced with 6 months warranty, returning above-spec power reserve, excellent amplitude, negligible beat error and accurate to ±25 sec/day averaged from 6 timegrapher positions.
